Healing for Unforgiveness
from a persons personal experience
Unforgiveness....
written by Anonymous
Trust me I know Unforgiveness and bitterness , a hardened heart ,will ruin your life.
I lived for many years like the unforgiving servant talked about in Matthew 18.
I was an Unforgiving servant and because of my choice I was tormented for many years.
I was full of pride and I thought I knew better than God.
Jesus set me free from the bondage of un-forgiveness.
Choosing Forgiveness is a process and for me was a Hard choice to do.
Daily I struggled with forgiving my enemies and those who hurt me or mine…..
Often in my day I would have a thought of the (Unchangeable) past event and the hurt from an enemy I couldn’t seem to get rid of the thought and the past event would pop up in my head.
As I found my thoughts dwelling on the past and my mind would go negative then soon I found myself caught up in hate and bitterness and in a short time I was devising a plan to burn their car down.
We are not only to forgive our enemies but we are to Bless our enemies..
“But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.
Luke 6:27-28 ESV
The way I learned is to bless my enemy is OUTLOUD
The only way to overcome any thought in our mind is to speak the opposite out loud with your mouth.
We must Speak (outloud) to the waves of fear and doubt in our mind.
Casting down imaginations (2 Corinthians 10:5) and they will obey.
When we speak 3 times out loud the thought goes away.
Every time I had a thought of my enemy, I had to say out loud
I bless (Name) in the name of Jesus.
I bless (Name) in the name of Jesus.
I bless (Name) in the name of Jesus.
Then the thought of the offense would go away.
Like when we resist the devil and he will flee…. (James 4:7)
“You cannot keep birds from flying over your head but you can keep them from building a nest in your hair.”
Remember God says we need to forgive , so then He can forgive us .
You do want God to forgive all your sins dont you ?
