When I was a new Christian, the thought of demons was a little overwhelming to say the least .Before I came to Jesus , it really was a spiritual warfare battle for me that I had to battle my way through . It was borderline Targeted Individual warfare. I would feel frightened and didnt know what to do or how to defend myself in these times.
Those days are gone now thank fully ,and I had to learn really quickly that there should be no fear in handling these situations. I still see some Christians in fear when the enemy strikes .It appears they may feel intimidated or overwhelmed, in knowing what they should do OR do they just may not understand the power they have been given over the enemy in the Authority of Jesus Christ.
Not to worry to much ,I hope this article will help and encourage and refresh the memory of what's written in Gods word.
If anything untoward is coming against me now, I quickly shift gears and BLAST to rebuke all those arrows of the enemy quick smart. There is no time for mucking around. You have to take control of the situation and walk in the power of the Authority that Jesus has given you.
PRAY and ARMOUR UP!
The enemy is cunning and he will prey on you when you are weak ,and he knows every one of your weaknesses . He will even use these to tempt you or exploit . Better to not give him a chance. Learn what your own weaknesses are so you can be on guard.

Once you really "understand" the FULL capacity, of who your are as a Christian walking in Christ ,and that He has given Authority to YOU ,it will shift your life as a Christian.
We are no longer sinners as Christians , we are now SAINTS walking in Christ! Lets walk in the Spirit not the flesh !
We are not just advocates for Jesus , we are warriors for Christ !

Being a Christian is wonderful and we have received SALVATION and redemption for our sins, but it can be a lonely and spiritually tiresome Journey ,but never dull. We expect to be persecuted as Christians and experience trials and tribulations as we the Body of Christ become part of Jesus's Sufferings.
Romans 8:17-18
and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we
suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. For I consider that the
sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
It might not be as you would have expected, but Jesus did warn us to pick up our cross and FOLLOW HIm. We can see by Jesus's own life and His Ministry which before he was crucified ,was challenging, confronting and his death was excruciating
and it was

So what is the meaning of Authority?
Authority from the Dictionary meaning
- The power to enforce laws, exact obedience, command, determine, or judge.
- One that is invested with this power, especially a government or body of government officials.
- Power assigned to another; authorization.
Jesus Authority is delegated power.
We act in HIs power that he has given us and allows us to use. It is never by brutal force .
Jesus is saying that " He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world."
His power in us ,is greater than the power of the enemy.
When there is a battle between the power of the Satan ,and the power of God- the power of the Satan, will lose every time.
That's very comforting to know and to remember, however Satan and demons know , but still likes to temp and torment if they can get away with it.
Remember in
James 4:7-10 it says ,
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
We would never be able to command demons away from us ,or out of us, in deliverance by our own power.

The bible tells us Christians are "sealed by God".
The word sealed in the New Testament comes from a Greek word that means “to stamp with a private mark” .
(in the interest of keeping something secret or protecting or preserving the sealed object).
As Christians this mark is upon us ,and this identifies that we belong to God !
The enemy knows who is sealed by God, just as the enemy knows the ones who walk in the power and Authority of Jesus and the ones who hold no power and authority. Lets look at this verse...
Acts chapter 19:11-18 ( seven sons of Sceba)
And God was doing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were carried away to the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them. Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists undertook to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “I adjure you by the Jesus whom Paul proclaims.” Seven sons of a Jewish high priest named Sceva were doing this.
But the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?”
And the man in whom was the evil spirit leaped on them, mastered all of them and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
And this became known to all the residents of Ephesus, both Jews and Greeks.
And fear fell upon them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was extolled.
The seven sons were men without authority. The seven exorcists were not genuine followers of Jesus and so lacked the authority and power to heal in Jesus' name.
They were trying to do good without the means. The enemy knew this. So here you can see how the enemy knows such things.
Jesus name carries weight !
YOU become backed by " all the powers in heaven" when you are in in His authority.

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,

Hebrews 2:14

the power of death, that is, the Devil .
Lets go back at look at when a new person comes to Christ.
What does that mean for the hevenly Hosts?
When someone new comes to Christ and receives salvation through FAITH by Grace from God , ......all the hosts of heaven rejoice.

Thats is a scripture I love so dearly and shows Gods Joy at every person saved .
The final thing is to never doubt and have complete faith in Jesus ,because he has defeated all things.
So when you come up against satan ,know that when stepping in that God Given power that Jesus has authorised YOU to use, He will follow through whetever you ask in His name.
Now here is some news for the Christian,
Paul tells us in letter to the church in Corinth, that us ,as believers will not only judge the world but also judge angels:
1 Corinthians 6:2-3
“Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world ...
Do you not know that we are to judge angels?
How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life”.
The fallen angels will be judged by God !
In , 1 Corinthians passage is that we, as God’s children, will be given a higher position than the angels.
We’re not only created in God’s image but redeemed by Christ .God sends His angels to serve His saints, i.e., those who are to inherit eternal life
see Hebrew 1:14 and Psalms 1:14 and Psalms 34.7 and Psalms 91:11
The Greek word for "Judge "means to rule or govern .We can see by this that we will indeed have authority over Gods Holy angels, but lets be clear they have no sins so they are Judged in a different sense. They are not "condemned", as there is no sin involved.
