mERIDITH-NEW AGE TESTIMONY
"My own divinity "

·
Decades in the new age/occult/new thought/Christian mysticism/ universal spirituality (there are a lot of names to it), I was seeking greater consciousness, believing in my own divinity... and therefore attempting to reach greater stages of peace and freedom and love by coming into the fullness of my highest divine self.
I did everything under the sun... healers, classes, meditation, plant medicine, shamans, chakra balancing, tarot, shadow work, transformational classes, workshops... all in the attempt to become more enlightened, more loving, more free, more whole. 25 years of active seeking... I became addicted.
There is something luring about it all... the belief that you can arrive “somewhere better” if you just keep going. Eventually you will arrive, ascend, become more enlightened... more loving, more free. The power is within you, it’s all within you... you ultimately are your own savior, a god... divine. That’s what I believed.
The question is this... How far up the ladder do you have to go? How far down the rabbit hole? How many lifetimes?
How many workshops? How many healers...how much work do you have to do to become the emanation of divine love itself... aka enlighenment? If this is what is possible for humans, then why aren’t there more pure divine vessels of light walking around. If humans have as there highest possibility the achievement of Christ consciousness...why then in the history of humanity has there only been one Christ...one pure and perfect being? Certainly there is no lack of spirituality.
Spirituality is everywhere..and always has been. Shouldn’t there be at least one or two more Christs walking around if there are so many earnest spiritual seekers...higher self pursuers?
Why has there not been another perfect example of divine love to have walked the earth if we all have the possibility of coming into the fullness of our own divinity? It’s a worthy question.
The world is increasingly becoming about the self...self as god...self as supreme. It is everywhere. As a result we are more depraved, not more enlightened.
Could it be that we can’t save ourselves? Could it be that Jesus was the only Christ and ever will be... because he alone is divine and he alone saves? Could it be that we would do well to seek him and his righteousness instead of trying to become something we will never be?
I am supremely grateful to Jesus Christ for saving me... It’s his infinite power, his divine love, his eternal grace and my submission to all that he is that sets me free!
