When recognising a Cult more often you need to pay attention to the Leader
here are 5 strong traits to be discerning about whenit comes to cults. These 5 are developed from

1. Cults or false religions usually have single powerful human leader who becomes either the Cults Messiah or
Spiritual Prophet that God speaks to on His behalf.
2.The cults leader's words ,or teachings of the cult ,become absolute truth, overshadowing Gods word and
the teachings of the Bible.
3. Each Cult ueses pressure tactics to coerce members into submission. Submission belongs to God alone.
4. Each Cult denies the central truth of the gospel that Jesus is the divine Son of God without beginning or ending.
They deny that His death has provided salvation....for the entire human race. As a result , salvation is EARNED by adherence to the teachings of the cult rather than accepting Christ following Him.
5.Cults often urge their converts to leave family behind , sometimes even sell all their possessions.

Often the Leader is enticing and has a very Charming & Charismatic Personality ,they maybe somewhat flamboyant in their style or outward expression.
Often they can be Sociopathic..pathological liars .
They will lure their victims with a sense of false belief in the cult .
The victims can feel like they have finally found their "family' or "community". A sense of happiness and Joy is usually found in the beginning.
In further time the members will succumb to the leaders sense of Governorship.
The leader can exploit the members for their weaknesses which can bring a sense of shame and guilt often then being excluded or outcast by other members.
Many members are made to commit by selling all their belongings and handing over life savings.
Often they work for free in return for food.
They are shut out of all worldly types of communication...phones, internet , commuters etc
The leader will often view outsiders as Inferior or the enemy.
Often members are told to commit and never see their families again.
(It is not uncommon for members not to see families for years , and sadly some never see their families ever again.
Some have become so reliant upon the cult that being back in society is seen as uninhabitable for them and so they often stay.
They terrorise the victim so they dont leave and they can be shunned and ostracized.
