The Importance of Communion
"The life in the Blood of Jesus "
What is Communion-
Names such as Holy Communion, Communion, Mass, Sacraments, Eucharist, Lords Supper, Breaking of the bread, Communion all represent the ritual that Jesus proclaimed at the Last Supper- The breaking of the bread and offering it to His Disciples saying
And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. Do this in memory of me.
The Torah strictly forbade Jews from drinking the blood(Lev 17:10:12) The life that was in the blood was reserved for sacrificial atonement upon the alter of GOD YHVH .
Just as physical manna sustained the Jewish people in the desert, the heavenly manna embodied in the Mashiach would sustain his followers for ever. Jesus identified the heavenly manna with the sacrifice of HIS flesh .
The bread that I will give you is MY flesh which I will give for the LIFE of the world. ( John 6 : 51)
when his onlookers questioned him, he said,
"Truely, Truely, I say unto you, Unless you eat the flesh of The Son of Man, and drink His blood, You will have NO Life in you.Who ever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood ( communion) has eternal life and I will raise Him up on the last day- for my flesh is true food and my blood is true drink". John 6:52-53
Some of Jesus disciples were scandalized by His teaching and saying"This is a hard saying, who can listen to it? ".
DOes this offend you? Jesus said.
He asked what would they think were they to see the Son of Man ascend to where he came...( referring to the idea of manna that came down from heaven)
His explanation- "It is the SPIRIT that gives LIFE, flesh is no avail.
The words I have spoken to you are" spirit and life" John 60-64
Communion is a powerful because it is Union with God. It brings Him closer to us and has powerful affects.

Some Tips for having Comm-UNION.
Repend your sins first and pray
Always do communion with others ,one cannot do this by yourself.
Use any unleaved bread ( yeast free) or use a wafer or dry buscuit
Use Red wine to represent the blood of Christ ( some use Grape Juice -however from my own
research there seems to be some debate over what we should or should not use.)
and we say this in rememberance of Jesus at the Last Supper
And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. Do this in memory of me.
After you may pray again and have fellowship and sing with others
